Kevin Flory Established Kevin Landscaping & Lawn Care in 1989 at the young age of 15. From a single push mower and 67 Chevy pick-up that his mother drove him around from job to job in Flory Landscaping has grown to be the Area’s Leader in Landscaping & Grounds maintenance services.

Today Kevin measures Flory Landscaping success in terms of customer satisfaction with a retention rate of over 92%. Flory Landscaping has received 12 first place awards for their innovative and breath taking landscaping displays at the Great Darke County Fair. Kevin Feels one of the company’s greatest achievements is the 10 First Place awards out of the last 12 years that Flory Landscaping has received from Readers’ Choice Awards as the number 1 Landscaping and Snow Removal Company in the area. Kevin says when the people (our clients) are voting us the “Best of the Best” out of a great group of landscaping companies in the area, that is a humbling and rewarding honor.

Kevin currently serves and has served on numerous boards proudly serving the community. Past board member of the Ohio Lawn Care Association, Darke County Fairboard, Tri-Village Football Foundation Board, Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of Greenville High School Business Hall of Fame.

When Kevin is not working on a new business adventure, he enjoys spending time with his wife; Michelle, and 2 children; son, Grant, and daughter, Lauren. He enjoys showing horses with his family, watching various sports, buying and selling equipment and assisting his wife with the church youth group.

MICHELLE FLORY – Accounting

Since 1994 Michelle has been embracing the challenge of operating a small business by taking on responsibilities both in and out of the office. From human resources to mowing, and payroll to equipment operation; she has done it all. Michelle feels the rewards of her job when co-workers are not just employees, but a part of the family. In her spare time she enjoys showing horses with her husband, children, and friends along with watching her children participate in 4-H and school activities. Michelle is a pillar in her church, serving as a youth-group leader.

GRANT FLORY – Maintenance

Grant has worked in many areas throughout Flory Landscaping. Grant’s farm background and experience in mowing, landscaping maintenance, paver installation, and equipment operation has allowed him to be a very dynamic employee for Flory Landscaping. Grant graduated from Miami Valley CTC in the Heavy Equipment Operator program in 2017. Grant supplemented his formal education by gaining landscaping and snow removal skills on the job along with competing and excelling in equipment operating competitions. Grant enjoys raising and showing various species of livestock, riding four-wheelers, and going to auctions and tractor pulls.

LAUREN FLORY – Flower Maintenance Dept.

Lauren has most recently been a part of the commercial beautification crew and the weekend mulch & topsoil sales team. Lauren has experience with maintaining new landscape on commercial and residential job sites, assisting in the office, and operating skid loaders. Lauren’s customer service and navigation skills are assets to Flory Landscaping. Lauren enjoys playing basketball and golf, showing livestock, and spending time with family and friends.

00frank-floryFRANK FLORY – Maintenance Manager

Since the beginning in 1989 Frank worked part time helping his son Kevin with equipment maintenance. In 1996 Frank became shop foreman for Flory Landscaping & Lawn Care. Franks ability and knowledge of mechanics, welding, hydraulic repair, fabrication, and plowing was an essential and vital part to the growth of Flory Landscaping and Mr. Plow snow and truck equipment. Fleet maintenance of trucks and equipment along with plowing snow, vegetation spraying, and industrial mowing, are just a few of Frank’s job duties. In 2015 due to medical reasons, Frank retired from his full-time job responsibility and returned on a part time basis sharing his knowledge, assisting with our shop personal and helping with the Flory farm operation. Frank enjoys competition plowing, helping farm, and yearly vacations with his wife.

Since 1994 Hallie has been dedicated to the growth and development of Flory Landscaping. Hallie serves as office manager. Along with the daily office tasks, she also takes care of the quoting, customer routing, and services as office director for our lawn care division. In 2004, she expanded her equipment knowledge on the Mr. Plow side of the business, helping with sales of snow removal equipment / parts and has surpassed over 1.6 million dollars in sales to date. In her free time Hallie enjoys photography, biking, kayaking, and spending time at their home on the lake with her husband.

00katie-crandallKATIE CRANDALL – Office Assistant

Since 2009 Katie has worked in commercial floral activities beautification and maintenance department. In 2015 Katie joined our customer service team which includes invoicing, loading customers, and is an executive assistant. Katie works with Kevin coordinating yearly and bi-yearly equipment auctions heading up consignors and advertising. Katie’s job duties include planning and scheduling commercial accounts for floral beautification projects each year; and training new hires on floral beautification. Katie’s technology knowledge is an asset to Flory Landscaping with her online sales and keeping employee technology communications functioning to our highest standards. Katie is currently continuing her education at Rhodes State College in Lima Ohio. Katie loves spending time with her friends and family, campfires, being involved with youth group, and helping show livestock.

SARAH BOOKMAN – Quality Control/Sales Dept.

Sarah joined Flory Landscaping in 2017 in the sales department with an emphasis on quality control. She works to build relationships with our clients and to see that all of their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded. Sarah graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. In her free time, Sarah enjoys showing horses and traveling home to North-Central Ohio to spend time with her family.

00matt-brinleyMATTHEW BRINLEY – Senior Landscape Estimator

Since 2002 Matt has worked with and helped manage several different divisions of Flory Landscaping. Matt’s experience in landscape and hardscape installation, equipment operation, estimation, design, and commercial snow removal allows Flory Landscaping to continue to grow and be successful. Matt has earned his certification as an Ohio Nursery Technician, as well as his certification in paver, retaining wall, and irrigation installation. Matt is our senior estimator for both the commercial and residential landscape divisions along with being involved with daily operations for all crews and employees. Matt also helps oversee commercial snow removal accounts. Matt is very detail oriented and works to assure every client’s satisfaction. Matt enjoys spending time with his family, going on family vacations, and golfing.

00rob-hutchesonROBERT HUTCHESON – Lawn Care Manager

Since 2013 Robert has been Lawn Care manager for Flory Lawn Care Division. Robert handles all aspects of the lawn care division including sale of residential and commercial client’s accounts as well as servicing their lawn care needs. Rob has been in the lawn care and landscaping field for over 28 years starting in parks maintenance. Robert earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in recreation administration in park maintenance. In his free time Rob likes watching the Chicago Bears and spending time with his family.

Since 2013 Kevin has been part of the Flory Landscaping team. Kevin’s leadership ability is crucial to the success of Flory Landscaping. Kevin serves as shop foreman and his equipment operation skills and mechanical knowledge allows Flory Landscaping to be efficient and have safe equipment for employees on a daily basis. Kevin’s customer service skills are outstanding when dealing with snow removal equipment, clients, and vendors. Kevin enjoys campfires, spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and showing horses.

00ron-fisteRON FISTE – Parking Lot Maintenance Mgr.

Ron started in a part time snow plow position in 1993 and became full time in 2011. Ron is not only mechanically inclined but is also an equipment operator who is very essential to daily operations at Flory Landscaping. Ron’s work experience includes, but is not limited to; mowing, loader / tractor operating, commercial vegetation control, mulch & topsoil sales and deliveries, assembly of snow removal equipment, and is account manager of the northern division of commercial snow removal operations. Most recently Ron was promoted to Livestock Bedding Manager which involves scheduling and delivery of products for Flory Livestock Bedding division. Ron enjoys spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, traveling to fairs & festivals, and going to auctions.

WESLEY SCHULTZ – Commercial Maintenance Dept.

Since 2007 Wesley has served as a part time sanitation engineer for Flory Landscaping. Wesley assists with Flory Landscaping beautification division for many of our clients and their outdoor maintenance requirements. Wesley’s love for animals allowed him to work at Flory Family Farm with their show horses and other livestock. Wesley’s ability to work individually and complete a task is a benefit to the Flory Landscaping team. Wesley enjoys spending time with family and friends and dining out.

ERIC DESJARDINS – Grounds Maintenance Specialist

In 2012, Eric started in a part-time position as mowing assistant and in 2016 he was promoted to residential mowing foreman. Eric is an essential part of our snow removal team being able to run a sidewalk crew, operate skid loaders, and assists with our northern snow removal division. Running equipment, loading trucks, fabrication and welding are Eric’s strong assets to Flory Landscaping. Eric is a trained and certified welder and graduated from Miami Valley CTC. Eric currently serves in the Ohio National Guard, we thank Eric for his willingness to serve our country. Eric enjoys hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with family.

AARON LECOUNT – Hardscape Fourman

In 2010, Aaron started out working on our summer landscape crew while attending college. In 2016, Aaron was promoted to landscape foreman and helps with design and landscape and hardscape installation. Aaron is an OSU/ATI graduate and has earned certifications while at Flory Landscaping including paver installation and irrigation installation. Aaron’s excellent knowledge of plant indemnification is a great asset for our landscape division. Aaron enjoys spending time with his fiancé, family, friends and all outdoor activities.

THOMAS WITZLEB – Commercial Mowing Dept.

Since 2015 Thomas has served on our commercial mowing crew as mowing assistant. Thomas is a well diversified employee, and Thomas’s experience includes bobcat operator, mower maintenance, mulch/topsoil delivery services, snow equipment assembly, and commercial snow removal. Thomas’s willingness to work wherever needed is an asset for Flory Landscaping. Thomas likes to spend time with his family, work on cars, and be outdoors.

JEFF ZIMMERMAN – Commercial Mowing Dept.

In 2015, Jeff started as our commercial mowing assistant. In 2016, Jeff was promoted to commercial mowing manager and services many of our commercial clients and their lawn mowing and grounds maintenance needs. Jeff demonstrates great accountability and an eye for detail, which is a great asset for Flory Landscaping. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, fishing, and being outdoors.

COLE BREWER – Commercial Mowing Dept.

Since 2016 Cole has served in fleet maintenance. Cole is a graduate from Tri-village / Miami Valley CTC specializing in power technology. Cole’s farming and mechanical background is a key asset in the continued growth of our Mr. Plow snow and truck division. In Cole’s free time he likes working on the farm, raising feeder to finish hogs.
